The role involves developing and maintaining electrical systems and programming for manufacturing equipment and machinery, documenting, implementing, and sustaining these systems to support production, validation, and inspection, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex electrical systems for equipment under senior engineer guidance.
- Develop PLC, HMI, actuator, servo, motion controller, and vision system programs.
- Document electrical systems and programs per safety and quality procedures.
- Specify and order electrical components for equipment operation.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and repair machinery for production, quality, and design teams.
- Assemble, wire, program, install, and debug internally purchased or developed equipment.
- Create operating manuals for internal or purchased machines.
- Provide guidance to a team of controls technicians.
- Program PLCs, robots, actuators, servos, and vision systems using machine programming languages.
- Develop electrical specifications, schematics, and wiring guidelines.
- Assemble and wire machines to specifications and manage resources.
- Organize documentation for peer understanding and troubleshooting.
- Use CAD or Visio to document programs and schematics.
- Create flow charts for programming and machine functions.
- Integrate multiple equipment stations into cohesive systems.
- Solve problems and manage multiple daily priorities.

Candidates should have an Associate of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience, with at least two years of experience in developing and maintaining manufacturing machines, including programming PLCs, HMIs, and process controls.
- Understand mechanical equipment, processes, and machine controls.
- Debug electrical and minor mechanical issues with basic mechanical knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at an intermediate level.
