The Role

Overview

Design and develop process projects, create specs, drawings, and support construction

Tasks

-Designs project within the provided design budget and track additional hours utilized, including when the scope is expanded -Creates orderly work files and prepares clear well-written memos/correspondence -Applies discipline design methods and detailing fundamentals in developing designs and specifications -Develops design concepts and recommends systems, within the discipline; produces pricing and proposal presentation documents and outline specifications; actively participates in project strategy meetings -Performs start-up activities -Performs plant surveys or field inspections; develops solutions to field problems; and prepares field orders, addenda, and record drawings -Produces well-organized, finished design documents of good appearance, accuracy, clarity, and correctness from layouts, sketches, or their written instructions -Performs dimensional, interference, and basic design checks on layouts and sketches and, as requested, on interdisciplinary drawing sets -Develops PFDs (process flow diagrams) and P&IDs for all assigned projects, making recommendations and changes/updates as necessary -Participates in professional community organizations and trade organizations within the discipline -Monitors and projects personal workload status, advising supervisor of difficulties in accomplishing schedules and determining any schedule changes -Participates in assigned client meetings and prepares and reviews presentation materials -Creates a work plan for assigned tasks -Reviews shop drawings and submittal data for conformance with contract documents and make recommendations -Performs analysis or calculations as assigned for process throughout and mass balance and selects proper equipment for the applications -Develops and verifies equipment lists, equipment specifications, and controls, as well as instrumentation requirements for each assigned process project -Performs the task of plotting, production, and assembly of drawing packages -Adheres to established company standards and policies

What You Bring

-Bachelor's degree in chemical/mechanical/industrial engineering from an accredited university -Application of Knowledge of Process Systems -0-3 years of relevant experience -Planning, Scheduling, and Profitability -Utilizes design software and tools; familiarity with Revit or AutoCAD
