The manufacturing team member will safely set up, operate, and adjust metal forming equipment using appropriate tools and procedures. The role involves maintaining equipment, performing change‑overs, and assisting co‑workers, while adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Set up, operate, and adjust metal forming equipment using appropriate tools.
- Keep the mill running according to procedures and in good condition.
- Operate cutback saw safely to order specifications.
- Keep mill and surrounding area clean and free of obstructions.
- Perform all change‑overs with appropriate tooling.
- Change punches and shear dies.
- Meet machine production goals.
- Assist in training co‑workers.
- Follow all safety rules and operational procedures.
- Perform lockout procedures as required by the mill’s JSA.
- Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment.
- Notify management of malfunctioning or missing safety devices before operation.
- Conduct quality checks using tape measures, micrometers, and other tools.
- Measure length, width, hole spacing, and thickness accurately.
- Perform routine checks for straightness, bow, camber, and part dimensions.
- Maintain quality paperwork legibly.
- Perform routine maintenance and report machine issues.
- Assist maintenance personnel as directed.
- Keep work station clean and organized.
- Assist material handler with coil changes and follow reject policy.
- Direct, assist, and train helpers as needed.
- Complete required paperwork to specifications.
- Push carts and tools up to 50 lb.
- Pull tools and finished products up to 15 lb.
- Occasionally climb ladders or stairs.
- Operate in a noise‑controlled environment.

Candidates should be mechanically inclined, problem‑solving, and team‑oriented. Prior manufacturing experience is preferred, and military experience will be considered equivalent.
The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand for eight or more hours per day, and perform various physical tasks such as squatting, bending, and walking for several hours.
