Deposit Accounting Intern

Description

• Retrieve and audit Move‑Out Refund requests, verifying coding and amounts before deposit disposition.
• Review and process charge adjustments on individual resident ledgers.
• Research ledger discrepancies and address resident inquiries regarding charges or credits.
• Enter, validate, and manage charge‑back documents for HOA, utilities, and maintenance.
• Learn and apply organizational systems, programs, policies, and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality and conduct all duties ethically and professionally.
• Prioritize multiple concurrent projects and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Apply strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and problem‑solving skills to accounting challenges.

Requirements

• Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for accounting tasks.
• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with team members and residents.
• Pursue or hold a university degree in accounting or a related field (preferred).

The role is a paid 40‑hour‑per‑week internship running from June 8 to August 14 2026, with an hourly rate of $22.00. AMH does not provide housing, relocation, or transportation assistance, and all candidates are subject to background screening.
