As an Associate – Asset Management, you will provide analytical support that drives value creation for retail assets. You will collaborate with asset management and acquisition teams, support budgeting and valuation processes, and help ensure properties are competitively positioned in the market.
- Develop and maintain property cash flow and investment models in Excel for budgeting, valuation, and return analysis.
- Participate in the annual budgeting process, review partner and manager materials, and prepare summary schedules and asset management plans.
- Gather and analyze market data to assess property positioning and ensure competitive pricing.
- Support asset managers with ongoing assets, dispositions, refinancing, and compile materials for pitchbooks and deal rooms.
- Coordinate with third‑party appraisers and brokers, organizing valuation documents and responding to inquiries.
- Prepare lender reporting documents, including cash flow projections to meet DSCR and LTV covenants.
- Assist underwriting and due‑diligence activities for the asset management and acquisition teams.
- Accompany asset managers on site visits to evaluate property condition and build relationships with property teams.
- Attend industry events to stay updated on innovative technologies and market trends.
- Participate in cross‑functional project teams to address company needs.
- Adhere to all Hines policies and procedures.

- Hold a degree in Estate Management, Property Economics, or a related field.
- Possess five or more years of commercial real estate experience with financial analysis and strategic planning responsibilities.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently with minimal oversight and maintain the highest integrity.
- Exhibit excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Show creative thinking, strong organizational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; experience with Argus valuation software is a plus.
