The Account Manager for the Texas and Western U.S. territory is responsible for retaining and growing existing customer relationships while driving new business across municipal, industrial, and engineering sectors. This role provides comprehensive sales support, including customer research, targeted outreach, proposal development, pricing negotiations, onboarding, training, and participation in trade shows. Candidates must reside within the territory and will work closely with utilities, engineering firms, and industrial customers through strategic account management and collaboration with channel partners.
- Drive sales of SmartCover monitoring solutions and DFS telemetry/SCADA systems across municipal and industrial accounts in Texas.
- Identify and acquire new customers through research, outreach, and lead qualification.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to implementation, including proposal development and pricing negotiations.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers; support onboarding and training on SmartCover and DFS platforms.
- Build long‑term partnerships with utilities, contractors, engineering firms, and industrial users.
- Collaborate with distributors and manufacturer’s representatives to generate interest, qualify leads, and close deals; provide quotes, proposals, and technical support.
- Maintain accurate records in Salesforce; submit regular reports on territory performance, pipeline status, and competitive insights.
- Represent SmartCover and DFS at regional trade shows, conferences, and industry events; develop case studies and presentations.
- Collaborate effectively across teams to achieve shared objectives.
- Take proactive steps to exceed goals and deliver results.
- Uphold high standards of performance and accountability.

Candidates should possess advanced negotiation skills, strong problem‑solving abilities, and proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office, along with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least three years of account‑management experience in municipal or utility sales.

- Strong problem‑solving abilities to resolve customer issues effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM (preferred); proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of account‑management experience, preferably in municipal or utility sales; water‑technology experience preferred.
