Perform a wide range of day-to-day building maintenance duties.
Assist in carpentry and electrical work as directed by supervisor.
Responsible for preventive maintenance of buildings as directed by Facilities Director.
Assist in monitoring all work performed by outside contractors.
Perform all service requests in a timely manner with a sense of urgency when appropriate.
Will be required to wear ear plugs and eye protection provided by property management to be worn when operating equipment such as weed eater, leaf blower, chainsaw, etc.
Paint interior and exterior surfaces as directed by supervisor.
Maintain clean properties by removing debris and pressure washing common areas.
Perform routine plumbing work such as cleaning stoppages and replacing fittings.
Responsible for on-call, 24-hour emergency maintenance on a rotating basis.
Take proactive measures to reduce resident maintenance requests, and survey for any potentially dangerous situations.
Assist in tenant move-in and move-out procedures.
Prepare for icy conditions and perform snow removal duties.

Prior experience in residential, apartment, or commercial maintenance is a plus.
Must be able to regularly work in outdoor weather conditions and potentially be exposed to cold, wet or humid conditions.

Must have valid driver's license and clear driving record.
