May Supervise, manage, and provide technical legal guidance to Contract Administrators
Drafts, reviews, and negotiate contracts to ensure compliance with legal standards and project requirements.
Plans contract activities, including post-award schedules.
Recommends new and revised policies and procedures.
Prepares and or assists in contractual correspondence with Consultants, General Contractors, and other vendors
Performs Contract Administration duties as required and participates in the post-award evaluation/negotiations.
Prepares regular reports on contract status, progress, and any issues that arise during the project lifecycle. Assists in presentations to senior management.
Identifies potential risks related to contracts and develops strategies to mitigate them.
Reviews, validates, endorses vendor invoices
Advises appropriate Manager on contractual matters and is the principal advisor at the Project level with regard to the strategy for, and the conduct and recording of contract modification/change negotiations, claims avoidance and conflict management.
Ensures that all parties adhere to the terms and conditions of the contract, including timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Serves as Coordinator of the Change for preparing, processing, reviewing the change requests prepared by others.
Monitors project budgets and expenditures to ensure financial compliance with contract terms.
Initiates, prepares, chairs, attends meetings with differing internal/external parties to resolve disputes and discuss contractual/legal issues and topics.
Acts as a liaison between contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve any contractual issues or disputes.
May participate in selection, training and evaluation of personnel.
Maintains accurate records of all contract-related documents, including amendments, change orders, and correspondence.
Reviews work of other consultants / contractors for quality, correctness and policy, procedural compliance and relevant law.
