As a Specialty Inspector you will conduct destructive and non‑destructive tests on construction materials, observe, inspect, test and sample masonry and concrete to project specifications, document findings, and communicate daily with contractors, project managers and technicians. You will maintain field equipment, support calculations and drafting tasks, attend project meetings, and mentor junior technicians.
ECS supports professional development by encouraging participation in internal and external training programs, certifications, and advancement opportunities as your experience grows.
At ECS, we’re growing our inspection team in Arizona and looking for experienced Specialty Inspectors with expertise in masonry and concrete. If you’re ICC certified, detail‑oriented, and ready to lead on high‑impact construction projects, this role offers long‑term career growth within an employee‑owned company.
Minimum qualifications include two years of field inspection experience, a high school diploma or GED, prior heavy‑construction QA/QC work, at least two recognized special‑inspector certifications (including current ICC Masonry Special Inspector), and proficiency with tablets/laptops for data entry. Preferred qualifications are ICC Concrete Special Inspector certification, additional certifications in structural steel, soils, aggregates, and strong familiarity with Arizona building codes.
