Estimator

Description

You’ll report directly into the Head of Pre-Construction and work alongside a team of three senior estimators, contributing to some technically complex and commercially interesting projects.

• Support smooth handovers from pre-construction into delivery
• Prepare cost plans, budgets, value engineering options and procurement strategies
• Work closely with project teams, consultants and clients from early concept through to construction

Requirements

Estimator – ECI / Pre-Construction

We’re working with an established head contractor to appoint an experienced Estimator into their pre-construction team. This role is heavily ECI-led, suited to someone who enjoys early engagement, problem-solving and working collaboratively with delivery teams — not just pricing from the sidelines.

If you’re an experienced Estimator looking to step further into front-end strategy, ECI and collaborative delivery, this is a role worth exploring.

• Well-structured pre-construction team with strong leadership
• Strong commercial judgement and ability to engage confidently with stakeholders
• Strong ECI focus (circa 60%) — early contractor involvement, cost planning, feasibility and design development support
• Proven estimating experience with a head contractor (essential)
• Genuine ECI exposure and influence over outcomes
• Comfortable operating in ECI environments and advising on buildability, risk and cost drivers
• Experience across complex commercial, residential or mixed-use projects
