We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Civil Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to join our dynamic team in our Lehi or Salt Lake City office. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass both a criminal background check and driving record review.
Civil Science evaluates and determines on a case-by-case basis whether it is willing to sponsor an individual to receive a temporary or permanent work visa (e.g., E-3, H-1B, H-1B1, or TN visa status).
- Knowledge of Utah drainage requirements and municipal design codes.
- Technical expertise in civil engineering services, including land development, utilities, grading, surveying, construction oversight, and planning.
- Strong proposal writing, contract management, and client management skills.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in land development/municipal projects.
- Must be able to work on active construction sites, which may include uneven terrain, exposure to varying weather conditions, and moderate to high noise levels.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) License in Utah or the ability to obtain one within six months.
- A track record of leading project teams and mentoring engineers and designers.
- Proficiency in Civil3D design software.
