Certification as a Certified Connecticut Municipal Collector (CCMC);

Ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs and other computer software;
A Master’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, real estate management, math or a closely related field may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.
College training in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, real estate management, math or a closely related field may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years.
Incumbents in this class may be required to possess and retain a valid Motor Vehicle Operator’s license.
Certification as a Certified Connecticut Municipal Assessor II (CCMA II);
Experience using Microsoft Excel to create complex spreadsheets with formulas and pivot tables.
May serve as OPM designee on the Certified Connecticut Municipal Assessors Committee (CCMA) and Certified Connecticut Municipal Collectors Committee (CCMC); and
Experience interpreting and applying statutes, regulations, policies and procedures and verifying that interpretation and application is accurate; and
Considerable knowledge in assessment and taxation principles;
