The Construction Director for Multifamily at Cushman & Wakefield provides construction management services across an assigned region, collaborating with clients, regional property managers, business managers, vendors, and corporate and site staff on construction, structural, and renovation projects. The role reports to the Vice President and is responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of repair, renovation, and paint projects throughout the portfolio.
The director oversees all phases of construction projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and proper documentation while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Financial oversight, including invoice and collection management, is also part of the role.
- Prepare and present project proposals for existing and new clients.
- Ensure compliance with state codes, EPA regulations, and lead‑based paint rules.
- Obtain and manage permits and address corrective notices within authority timelines.
- Collect and oversee bids for capital projects and maintain up‑to‑date project documentation.
- Track invoices and collections for the construction management department.
- Analyze contracts and monitor project setup and performance.
