You will conduct in‑depth technical analyses to recommend front‑end enhancements, design and maintain high‑performance, multi‑site and multilingual Sitecore SXA websites, and create user interfaces for web applications that translate design concepts and business requirements into functional, user‑friendly experiences. Collaboration with designers, back‑end developers, and stakeholders will be essential to align solutions with business objectives, while writing clean, maintainable HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript code that is responsive and compatible across devices and browsers. Optimizing web performance, testing and debugging, staying current with emerging technologies, and participating in code reviews will also be key responsibilities.
Johnson Controls is seeking a talented and motivated Front‑End Developer / Technical Analyst to join the Marketing IT team. In this role you will enhance JCI’s digital presence by analyzing the current web footprint and properties, diving deep into the existing codebase, and providing technical recommendations that meet key requirements while ensuring efficiency and performance.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and has proven front‑end development experience with a strong portfolio. Hands‑on expertise with Sitecore SXA, multisite and multilingual inventories, multiple themes, and UI/UX, along with proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Bootstrap, and jQuery, is required. Familiarity with modern frameworks such as Angular, React.js, Vue.js, or Node.js, knowledge of server‑side CSS, and experience across the full web development lifecycle—including browser testing, debugging, and responsive design—are highly desirable. Prior work with CMS platforms like Sitecore, Drupal, Expression Engine, or ASP.NET is a plus.
