- Interface with project management, DOE, design, procurement, field management and superintendents at different team levels to accomplish milestones in a safe and cost effective manner.
- Perform comprehensive review and evaluation of preliminary scope, design, schedules, and estimates for new projects to determine constructability and accuracy.
- Participate in establishment and approval of technical,schedule and cost baselines for projects and CMO's.
- Validate alignment of technical scope with baseline schedule and project / CMO estimate for constructability and approval of baseline schedule and estimates.
- Coordinate all aspects of assigned complex construction projects and maintenance orders to their overall successful completion by ensuring that construction efficiency is optimized from conceptual design to financial closing.
- Interface with facility management for work scope, estimate approvals and funding distribution and with project controls and construction execution for scope development, estimate preparation and approval and construction planning.
- Review and evaluate labor and material cost reports and identify positive and negative variances to total budgets and annual operating plans.
- Through use of experience and knowledge while monitoring progress of projects and maintenance orders, identify problems / potential problems to the technical / cost / schedule baselines and implement the necessary corrective actions.
