- Identify and qualify subcontractors and vendors; prepare and transmit bid packages; receive and analyze bids; negotiate and award subcontracts and purchase orders; maintain purchase control log.
- Participate in design review meetings, monitor scope, cost changes, and constructability, and manage project permits.
- Prepare detailed estimates and cost codes; update labor and summary cost reports; coordinate with accounting for subcontractor and vendor payment processing.
- Prepare and update progress schedules, including short‑term interval schedules, and assist in planning construction operations and sequences.
- Interact with clients as directed, handling correspondence, periodic reports, change order requests, pay requisitions, and client inquiries.
- Review, approve, and transmit submittals; maintain submittal control log; manage requests for information and RFI log.
- Assist superintendent with subcontractor coordination, safety, quality management, and job‑site reporting and controls.
- Support project close‑out by compiling unit cost history, operations and maintenance manuals, punch‑list management, and coordinating agency inspections.

This internship focuses on construction management. You will assist the project management team with assigned tasks, participate in training programs, and receive instruction on company tools, standards, policies, and procedures. It is an ideal role for construction‑management or engineering students interested in working with a leading design‑build firm.
The position requires ordinary ambulatory abilities, including standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and handling light to medium loads (10‑50 lb). Good hand‑eye coordination, visual acuity for keyboard use, and the ability to sit, reach, talk and hear are also needed.
- Student studying architecture, engineering, or construction management (or similar).
- Knowledge of construction industry methods, engineering, equipment, technology, and safety.
- Excellent organizational, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
