What you would be doing

Perform technical engineering assignments that may require critical thinking and creativity to address unique elements that have limited or no specific codebased guidance
Provide and or assist with technical reviews and provide guidance related to surface and groundwater modeling, water supply planning, agency coordination, and overall project implementation
Prepare and/or review scopes and fees related to WS BC projects
Work with Central Texas’s leadership team to address issues related to delivery, to support and lead communications, and to obtain approvals for BC operations
Manage risk related to delivery of WS projects and support project teams as needed
Actively engaged in professional or industry associations to enhance HDR technical expertise and brand
Assist and/or lead pursuits of a variety of WS related projects
Support Central Texas Water Resources Management Market Sector initiatives, projects, marketing, clients, growth, BC coordination, and maintain open communication with staff and the CTX leadership team
Assist and lead Section Managers on tasks related to BC operations with a focus on local and national workload support, staffing needs, and coordination of hiring efforts
Lead, mentor, and support mid and senior level staff
Attend and participate in national workload calls. Coordinate with the national WS team and BC Director, as needed
Proactively plan, organize, track, and evaluate BC work and support needs

Strong communication and presentation skills.
Maintains a Professional Engineering registration and has related technical experience
Minimum of ten years of related work experience, including experience in Water Supply Planning projects
Experience with software used on planning projects.
Proven business development in the Central Texas Region, with an understanding of measurable goals
Experience with liaising with and coordinating staff at all levels
Ability to function as a leader and an active team player in a diverse multidisciplinary environment
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydraulics, Water Resources, or a related field from an accredited four year college or university
