Perform engineering calculations and develop hydrologic and hydraulic models.
Responsible for drainage designs, profiles, stormwater alleviation, state stormwater management plan requirements, and pavement drainage.
Prepare drainage design for highway and bridge construction projects to include technical planning, design, and construction support for hydrologic and hydraulic models, erosion control, stormwater abatement, and green infrastructure.
Prepare and assist with specifications and permit submittals.
Develop preliminary project cost estimates and evaluating quantities.

Expert experience utilizing civil engineering modeling software to include MicroStation, HydroCAD, Geopak drainage, and HEC-RAS.
Must have math calculation skills, MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience.
7-15 years of water resources experience to perform drainage design on highway and bridge construction projects is desired.
Understanding of SCDOT practices required; experience working with DOT’s in the Southeast desired.
Drainage design, bridge, culvert modeling, scour analysis, and erosion control experience required.
PE required; PE in SC and/or GA required.
Bachelor of science in civil engineering or environmental engineering is required, a master’s degree desired.
Prior experience with SCDOT hydraulic design highly desired.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US with a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
Must complete a pre-employment screening; ICE is a drug-free workplace.
