The internship is slated to begin in the summer of 2026. As an Electrical Engineering Intern you will join a project team within the Grid business unit, supporting engineers in delivering project work. Projects may involve designing new or modified transmission, substation, distribution, renewable, and battery energy storage systems.
Working under senior engineers, you will apply and grow your electrical engineering knowledge across several functional areas. Tasks include creating engineering calculations, specifications, and designs, as well as contributing to project reporting and data tracking. You will also assist in power system design and the preparation of procurement specifications for major electrical equipment.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, as the company does not sponsor work authorization. Essential qualifications include a pending BSEE or MSEE degree (graduating Fall 2026 to Spring 2028), strong organizational abilities, a proactive self‑starting attitude, and the capacity to prioritize issues and meet deadlines. Preferred qualifications involve enrollment in an ABET‑accredited program, demonstrated leadership, a minimum 3.0 GPA, prior internship experience, and coursework focused on electrical power.
