Autodesk is looking for a highly motivated XR and AI development intern to join the multi‑disciplinary team building Workshop XR, a platform for immersive design reviews in Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC). The intern will work with AI, extended reality, web technologies and cloud solutions to create advanced interaction capabilities.
Candidates must be full‑time master's students in computer science or a related field with at least one academic term remaining after the internship. Required experience includes using LLMs in web, mobile or XR applications, strong C++ skills (smart pointers, multithreading), XR development with Unity or Unreal, plugin/SDK integration, 3D graphics fundamentals, web development with REST APIs, and familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms. Self‑motivation and strong communication are essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience with TypeScript, Python and React, development of VR applications using Unreal Engine, research or development in AR/VR, and knowledge of graphics APIs such as OpenGL, WebGL or DirectX. Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments is also valued.
Autodesk promotes a culture of belonging, diversity, and innovative work that impacts everything from sustainable buildings to blockbuster movies. The company offers competitive compensation, transparent salary practices, and opportunities for interns to contribute meaningfully while shaping the future of AI and XR.
