The position is responsible for direct and indirect tax compliance for entities managed by WiseEnergy and for leading portfolio tax projects. It coordinates internal stakeholders and external advisors to deliver compliance work, remediation, process enhancements, audit and tax authority support, and targeted reviews.
The role is for an experienced tax professional to support operational tax services for WiseEnergy clients, extending beyond the typical contracted tax services by executing certain tax activities directly. It reports to the Finance Services Director and works closely with the NextEnergy Fund Management team, which has overall tax oversight across the funds.
Success requires operating as a single contributor, strong time‑management and prioritisation, excellent written and verbal communication in English (and other European languages), flexibility, intellectual curiosity, delivery focus, critical thinking, problem‑solving, and a passion for the mission of a sustainable clean‑energy future, aligned with the company’s values.
Candidates should have senior tax advisory experience in asset management, both in the UK and internationally, hold a relevant professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CTA, possess strong technical tax skills, demonstrate initiative and professionalism, and be eligible to work in the UK.
The role offers a busy environment within a supportive team, international scope across eight countries, hybrid working with office attendance in central London twice a week, 30 days holiday (including a festive shutdown), private pension, BUPA healthcare for the employee and dependents, cycle‑to‑work and electric‑vehicle leasing schemes, and an annual discretionary bonus.
