Supports Avangrid Renewables business development through good working relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and co-workers to strengthen company position, resolve issues, solicit business, and formulate estimates.
Develop master capital and estimating models
Develop cost estimates to support the analysis of potential contractors’ costs and project acquisitions.
Participate in a team of project professionals on new projects regarding conceptual design and operations.
Review cost reports from completed/existing projects.
Review proposal specifications to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
Conduct project site visits with potential contractors and engineering firms.
Adhere to effective internal controls.

Ability to navigate and succeed in a highly matrixed reporting structure, preferably at an international company.
Ability to analyze project risks, understand project scope, and proactively identify solutions with a flexible, creative, and solution-focused outlook on problem solving
3-5 years’ experience as an Estimator or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience in plant construction, production, or operations.
10%-20% travel required
Customer Centric (internal and/or external)
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, related degree, or equivalent combination of education & experience
Can read and understand engineering drawings, purchase orders, contracts, WBS/CBS, cost coding systems
Ability to foster and participate in a productive team environment by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers, managers, customers, contractors, and vendors
Written expression is clear, concise, and conveys the desired message
Demonstrated experience with advanced model development
