Build, maintain, and strengthen strong relationships with clients, ownership groups, subcontractors, design professionals, and city agencies.
Manage risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, RFI responses, and change orders to ensure integration of all building systems.
Ensure all permits, licenses, and regulatory requirements are secured prior to project commencement.
Monitor project budgets and financial performance, implementing proactive measures to avoid cost overruns and maximize profitability.
Develop project execution strategies, oversee preconstruction planning, and coordinate with estimating, scheduling, and procurement teams.
Oversee, mentor, and support project managers, superintendents, and field staff to ensure cohesive and high-performing project teams.
Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and implement best practices for future work.
Evaluate project documents to ensure completeness, design intent, constructability, and compliance with NYC building codes and regulations, obtaining all necessary clarifications from design teams.
Provide executive-level leadership and direction across multiple high-rise construction projects, ensuring alignment with company goals, schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
Deep understanding of project scheduling, cost control, and contract administration.
Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.) and familiarity with BIM coordination processes.
Proven track record delivering ground-up high-rise residential and mixed-use projects in New York City, including experience navigating DOB, DOT, FDNY, and other regulatory bodies.
Strong expertise in managing large-scale projects exceeding $100M in value.
15+ years of progressive construction management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity (Project Executive or Project Director).
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related discipline; Master's degree preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams of project managers, superintendents, and field personnel across multiple concurrent projects.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent the firm to ownership groups, investors, and external stakeholders.
