Description

Typical responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, and washing floors; using commercial floor buffers and shampoo machines; vacuuming rugs and spot‑cleaning them; dusting and cleaning furniture, exhibits, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and other horizontal surfaces; washing windowsills, interior glass, and entrance doors; spot‑cleaning interior walls; and maintaining bathrooms by restocking supplies, cleaning fixtures, and monitoring issues.

Additional tasks involve collecting building trash, replacing liners, shoveling snow from entrances and walkways, and performing periodic high‑dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing. The employee must also report any defects such as clogged urinals or non‑functional lights.

• Sweep, mop, and wash interior floors using commercial buffers and shampoo machines.
• Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas; spot‑clean and shampoo rugs as directed.
• Dust and clean furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and horizontal surfaces; perform periodic high dusting.
• Spot‑clean interior walls daily.
• Clean and restock bathrooms, including wiping glass, emptying waste baskets, servicing dispensers, cleaning tile walls, and scrubbing floors.
• Monitor and report defects such as clogged urinals or non‑functional lights.
• Collect building trash, replace liners, and place waste in approved containers.
• Sweep or shovel snow from building entrances, walkways, and sidewalks as directed.
• Perform periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood polishing, and wall washing.

Requirements

Requirements include the ability to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team. No prior cleaning experience is required, but the candidate must be able to use cleaning tools and equipment, possess attention to detail, high energy, endurance, and a pride in delivering excellent service.

• Wash windowsills, interior glass, entrance doors, and interior/exterior glass trim.
• Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
• Team‑oriented with strong cooperation skills.
• Capable of using cleaning tools and equipment, including backpack vacuums.
• Attention to detail, high energy, endurance, and pride in service delivery.
• No prior cleaning experience required.
