Senior Design Architect

Tasks

-Represent our firm by participating as a key member of our business development team in marketing to prospective owners/clients -Initiate and create designs and other documentation with responsibility for preparation of presentation drawings, models and narratives -Participate strongly in establishing a steady and strong design influence internally and in all processes and methodologies of our work. -Meet directly with the owner/client, analyze project goals, conceive and develop architectural concepts/solutions for those goals -Mentor and develop junior design staff, challenging, inspiring and/or motivating others to join in the constant pursuit of Design Excellence -Develop highly creative and effective design solutions within established budgets for multiple and concurrent projects -Guide and assure design excellence from initial concept to final delivery. -Work with various disciplines to ensure all concepts/solutions accommodate project needs and the owner's program

What You Bring

-Experience in the areas of healthcare, educational, civic, science and research facilities -A minimum of 10 years design leadership experience -Demonstrate technical proficiency, and understanding building decarbonization, resiliency and sustainability to elevate teams and project outcomes. -Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired -Master's degree in Architecture -Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp and 3D Studio Max -Rhino and Grasshopper experience
