Required to perform single, technical tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Wrap pipes in insulation batting and secure them in place with cement or wire bands

Joins tubing or pipes to various refrigerating units by means of sleeves, couplings or unions, and solders joints, using torch, forming complete circuit for refrigerant, installs various refrigerant valves in circuit(s)
Install, repair and service air conditioners, ranging up to 1100 tons cooling capacity in warehouses, barracks and commercial buildings

Experience must include inspection, disassembly, assembly, replacement and repair of heating, ventilation, refrigeration and/or air conditioning systems to include compressors, motors, burners, pumps, filters, ductwork, pipes, valves, refrigerants and their recovery systems and pressure vessels
Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions
Valid driver's license compliant with REAL ID Act or are you willing and able to obtain one
Experience in installing, calibrating, troubleshooting and replacement of control systems is required
Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: indoor air monitoring equipment and interpret resulting data; standards for design and construction; air conditioning and heating codes; hazards and safety precautions; and refrigerant handling and disposal
Regular, dependable attendance

EPA Universal Refrigeration License
