The role supports site preparation, documentation, and communication with engineering and management teams.
Key duties include diagnosing complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, coordinating labor and materials for site readiness, and recording all work through computer‑based service reporting systems. The technician must effectively relay site status to customers, engineers, and management while operating heavy equipment and rigging loads up to 100 tons.
Candidates need a high school diploma (or equivalent) with at least four years of wind‑turbine technician experience, or six years in a related electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic field. Additional eligibility criteria cover heavy‑equipment operation, valid driver’s license, ability to lift 250‑300 lb, and willingness to work rotating 24/7 shifts in diverse weather and industrial environments.
Preferred applicants hold a bachelor’s degree or technical certification in wind energy, can read electrical schematics, and possess strong customer‑service, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency with hydraulic tools, crane and rigging knowledge, and computer applications such as Excel and Word are also valued.
