The role focuses on implementing HSE policies, monitoring performance, and collaborating with managers and contractors to maintain high safety standards across projects.
- Implement corporate HSE policy, plans, and legislation.
- Monitor HSE performance, targets and recommend improvements.
- Ensure client safety requirements are fulfilled.
- Liaise with safety manager and contractors to improve and implement HSE ethics.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety measures, legal and client requirements.
- Review site safety, emergency plans, method statements, and risk analyses.
- Conduct HSE inspections and report issues for immediate rectification.
- Review and monitor contractor HSE inspection reports monthly.
- Lead monthly safety meetings, set targets, and distribute minutes.
- Review emergency preparedness, permit‑to‑work systems, toolbox talks, and HSE statistics.
- Evaluate incident/accident investigation reports, communicate learnings, and follow up on corrective actions.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, health, or a related engineering discipline, possess at least eight years of highway, bridge, and underpass safety experience in the UAE, and have certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, Safety Diploma, First Aid, and Fire Safety.

- Minimum 8+ years of highway, bridge, and underpass safety engineering experience in the UAE.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, Safety Diploma, First Aid, and Fire Safety.
- Knowledge of UAE Federal Laws, Dubai Municipality Construction Safety Code, RTA guidelines, and work‑zone traffic management.
- Ability to attend physical interviews in the UAE.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 audits or training.
