Community Centre Manager

Description

• Manage daily operations, staff, and community activities
• Build strong relationships with local groups, schools, and stakeholders
• Develop business and marketing plans to increase engagement
• Manage budgets, financial reporting, and funding applications
• Report to the Board on strategy, finances, and governance
• Welcome customers, respond to enquiries, and manage bookings
• Oversee health and safety, including emergency procedures
• Ensure policies, procedures, and health and safety standards are followed
• Participate in local networks and community projects
• Act as the main point of contact for the Centre
• Maintain building and equipment through planned maintenance
• Recruit, train, and manage staff performance
• Support the coffee shop as a social enterprise

Requirements

• 2+ years in a management role
• Experience in the not-for-profit sector is a plus
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
• IT skills and the ability to use digital tools
• Honest, reliable, and flexible.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Strong financial and budget management skills
• Knowledge of health and safety standards
• Ability to work with a diverse community
• Approachable, solution-focused, and calm under pressure
