The Operating Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems across assigned properties. This role also upholds a clean and safe working environment through regular rounds and assessments.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for graduates of apprenticeship programs or trade schools, and have a minimum of three years of experience operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in commercial properties.
The successful candidate will demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, boiler, pump, and energy-management systems, as well as basic computer proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Work is carried out in a professional office setting and on-site across multiple locations, requiring travel in varying weather conditions. The position demands physical abilities such as stooping, standing, climbing, and regularly lifting at least 50 lb.
