The Civil/Roadway/MOT Region Leader serves on the Mountain/Desert Region leadership team and provides overall leadership for the Parsons Civil/Roadway/MOT group. The role includes mentoring the design team, overseeing staff development, resourcing, business development, and project delivery across local and regional initiatives. The leader ensures engineering expertise, technical deliverables, and program quality meet or exceed industry and company standards while navigating complex regulatory environments.
- Lead and mentor the Civil/Roadway/MOT design team, overseeing staff development and performance.
- Drive business growth, increase market share, and manage project backlog and team utilization.
- Oversee project and task management, including budgeting, tracking hours/expenses, and supervising subcontractors.
- Direct design efforts such as engineering analyses, permit applications, plans, specifications, and contracts.
- Lead complex engineering projects to ensure deliverables meet industry and company standards.
- Engage with public and private stakeholders to address infrastructure issues and program requirements.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and regulatory laws.
- Develop and maintain engineering discipline certifications, accreditations, and value propositions.
- Conduct client needs analyses and surveys to align discipline functions with business strategy.
- Represent the engineering discipline to agencies, clients, subcontractors, and industry groups.
- Prepare and manage proposal scopes, timelines, pricing, and budgets in accordance with codes.
- Mentor staff, provide performance guidance, and collaborate across disciplines for innovative solutions.

- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field with 15+ years of experience.
- Possess a Professional Engineer license (multi‑state preferred) or obtain one within six months.
- Demonstrate proven project management experience and a broad technical/business background.
- Exhibit advanced knowledge of engineering principles, design/build, permitting, and relevant regulations.
- Possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Be proficient with office automation, predictive modeling tools, and QA/QC processes.
- Ability to work independently and guide mid‑ to senior‑level team members.
- Reside in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, or Utah and commit to a hybrid work arrangement with regular office presence.
- Willingness to travel occasionally as project requirements dictate.
- Maintain established client relationships and industry contacts in the Mountain/Desert market (preferred).
- Experience winning work with state and local agencies (preferred).
