What you would be doing

- Supports the roles of others ensuring administration and paperwork is completed effectively and on time as and when required
- Work closely with Technical for support and training.
- Return all warranty and other return parts cleaned and on time ensuring correct processes for packing and labelling
- Ensure all service information is read, understood and filed
- Diagnose specific fault issues and action appropriately
- Carry out, servicing, inspection and repair of all Ship to Shore Cranes (STS), Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes (RTG) & Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes (RMG) products and equipment at customer premises or on site or if required at the appropriate depot.
- Assisting in repair, building and dismantling both Ship to Shore, Rail / Rubber Tyre Gantry Cranes.
- Works in accordance with the company quality assurance guidelines
- Develops an effective working relationship with the support team at the depot and can support others where required
- Maintains a healthy and safe working environment for self and others through a clear understanding of workplace safety requirements and systems
- Develops outstanding rapport and relationships with all customers
- Ensures that self-image is a key contributor to promoting company business, and always maintains both personal image and vehicle condition and cleanliness to an exceptional standard
- Works with the customer in mind, making sure that quality work standards are maintained consistently and that post work, the repair site is clean and left in an condition that satisfies the customer
- Escalates the appropriate action in relation to broken or damaged company equipment
- Undertake all work strictly in compliance with manufacturer guidelines and recommendations
- To work additional hours as reasonably required to undertake the described duties and to be available to work a rota based out-of-hours customer support, if such a programme is implemented
- Coordinates with the customer ensuring that customer needs are understood and that a flexible approach is adopted to meeting their needs
- Working to reasonable deadlines and being responsible for managing own time to comply with companies expectations

- Is able to effectively contribute in recognising and improving work processes so as to drive greater efficiency
- GCSE’s grade A to C – 9 - 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Diesel engine service and repair desired.
- Electrical and PLC knowledge
- Full clean driving license
- Electrical and PLC fault diagnosis and repair.
- Hydraulic fault diagnosis and repair
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship to NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a related industry
