Reporting to the department supervisor, the Team Lead helps maintain continuous workflow while ensuring employees work safely and accurately. Responsibilities include training new and existing staff, coaching team members to achieve goals, and proactively addressing conflicts before they escalate.
Key duties involve delegating tasks, setting deadlines, and creating an open‑communication, positive team environment. The lead directs product flow to maximize warehouse space, oversees daily operations, resolves issues that could delay freight, reviews paperwork, communicates safety or product concerns, completes Novo safety training, participates in the safety leadership team, and performs core warehouse activities such as receiving, stocking, pulling, banding, staging, and loading.
Candidates must meet basic qualifications including the ability to perform the physical demands of the role, use proper PPE, handle awkward product weights, apply basic math and reading skills, be at least 18 years old, and have scheduling flexibility for overtime. Preferred experience includes prior leadership in distribution or manufacturing, operation of power industrial equipment and forklifts, handling wide loads up to 18 feet, and a high school diploma or GED.
The Team Lead position is located in Zeeland, Michigan (zip 49464) and is a full‑time, day‑shift role offering $20‑$24 hourly based on experience. Regular hours are Monday‑Friday, 5 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.
