The role involves leading a structural engineering team on projects for new nuclear facilities, upgrades, and modifications to nuclear power plants, applying expertise in materials, structural analysis, steel design, and reinforced concrete design.
As part of the engineering and design team you will prepare, review, and provide guidance on design calculations, develop specifications, and coordinate with designers on drawing development.
You will oversee structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment, and foundations, and may travel to client or vendor offices and plant sites for design reviews, construction coordination, and field verification.
Required qualifications include a BSCE in Structural Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program, at least 12 years of experience with nuclear facility structures, proficiency in analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS, familiarity with codes like IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, N690, ACI 318/349, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred but not required credentials are an MSCE degree, on‑site construction support experience, and a PE or SE license.
