Project Maintenance Specialist

Overview

Coordinate vegetation control, minor repairs, and seasonal maintenance for solar/battery sites.

Tasks

-Safely operate a chainsaw to clear downed tree limbs and assist in repairing damaged fencing. -Coordinate and oversee vegetation control activities including mowing, trimming, herbicide application (if applicable), and invasive species management. -Organize, track, and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, materials, and spare parts stored in site storage containers. -Perform minor maintenance and basic repairs on site equipment including mowers, string trimmers, blade sharpening, fencing, and other tools. -Visit project sites during winter to clear snow from pony panels and snow sensors and confirm that other sensors are in proper working condition.

What You Bring

-Proven experience in vegetation management, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or related field, preferably in renewable energy or utility sectors. -Knowledge of electrical safety standards and best practices related to solar project maintenance. -Able to travel to multiple sites for vegetation management and light repair -Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety standards related to vegetation management. -Licensed electrician with demonstrated experience in minor electrical troubleshooting and repair, preferably in solar or renewable energy systems. -Knowledge of local flora, invasive species, and best practices for vegetation control in Upstate New York.
