Work with the Reliability Engineer to Analyze and update the equipment BOMs as well as set-up critical spare assemblies and spare parts in the warehouse.
Provide Maintenance Q/C technical support.
Ensuring that machinery, systems, infrastructure, and equipment run optimally with minimal downtime.
Coordinate with OMC, Planners, and Reliability Engineer to schedule maintenance work.
Work with the Maintenance & Operations Superintendent to manage the maintenance budget. Set & track maintenance KPIs.
Document repair events in Meridium in order to track failures over time.
Training staff on equipment operating and maintenance procedures.
Work with the Reliability Engineers in the Fixed & Rotating group to determine equipment care strategies.
Communicate with Reliability Engineer equipment changes so equipment assignment events can be entered into Meridium.
Work with the Planners in order to better refine task lists within PMs.
Responding to equipment emergencies with technical support.
Work to enforce the usage of SMPs.
Participate in morning line-up and routine scheduling meetings.
Aid in the development Work with the Reliability Engineer on the improvement of preventative maintenance & predictive maintenance program.
Modify & maintain SMPs.
Work with a hands-on approach with Westlake Maintenance representatives to troubleshoot & resolve issues.
Predict and strategize for system overhauls and upgrades, while considering maintenance budgets and expenditures.
Create notifications of field audit findings and document failure modes (i.e. 5-Why).
Conduct weekly audits of field equipment.
Conducting and overseeing maintenance process audits as well as establishing different maintenance procedures and protocols. Includes but not limited to:
Communicate daily with the Reliability Engineer and Maintenance about equipment issues.
Update & maintain the status of equipment sent out for repairs.

Minimum of 5 years of chemical plant experience required, 8 years preferred.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, strong work planning and organizational skills required.
BS in mechanical engineering from an accredited university preferred.
