  • Perform inspections and testing of installed fire stopping systems to verify integrity and compliance.
  • Install fire stopping materials such as fire-rated sealants, sprays, boards, and wraps around penetrations and joints in walls, floors, ceilings, and ductwork on high-rise buildings.
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to coordinate fire stopping activities within the construction schedule.
  • Adhere to strict safety protocols, including fall protection measures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, work performed, and inspections conducted.
  • Ensure all fire stopping work complies with local building codes, fire regulations, and industry standards.
  • Read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, fire safety plans, and specifications to ensure proper placement of fire stopping systems.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards, material shortages, or installation issues promptly.

  • Ability to identify different materials and the corresponding assembly requirements.
  • Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting and working in confined spaces.
