Provides innovative solutions for energy, industrial, and infrastructure sectors globally.
The Senior Product Development Engineer leads the technical component of New Product Development (NPD) and New Technology Development (NTD) projects from conceptualization through validation, certification, and industrialization. Early in the project the engineer defines critical‑to‑quality requirements and works cross‑functionally to develop solutions. Detailed designs are validated through design reviews with technical title holders, and the engineer maintains the repository of technical documents such as 3D models, drawings, guidelines, and certified prints.
In this role you will clarify project inputs, organize technical activities, write product technical specifications, perform design and analysis using CFD and FEA, manage subcontracted engineering work, and create all necessary technical documentation. You will coordinate meetings with sourcing, manufacturing, and advanced manufacturing engineering, lead design review sessions, identify and mitigate risks, and conduct functional analysis and FMEA for new designs. Additionally, you will incorporate DF(x) principles, define design rules, deliver technical training, collaborate with the testing laboratory on prototype tests, analyze test results, support invention disclosures, and serve as a recognized expert on safety and pressure relief valves while mentoring fellow engineers.
To be successful you must hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have at least ten years of core design engineering experience. Strong knowledge of mechanical design concepts, fluid dynamics, and advanced FEA/CFD tools such as SolidWorks and ANSYS is required, along with material expertise for valves used in oil‑and‑gas, refinery, and power sectors. Experience with pressure safety valve codes (ASME, API, EN) and prior involvement in new product design projects is essential. Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary, global teams is also expected.
