As an Operations Technician II, you will perform a variety of tasks that support pipeline operations, including reading and interpreting drawings, maintaining facility equipment, and analyzing data to solve technical problems. Safety, accurate record‑keeping, and compliance with permits are essential to success in this role. You will work under the guidance of Williams’ Core Values, gaining experience and growing within the organization.
Shifts may include after‑hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekends, and holidays, with occasional overtime of 10‑12‑hour days and travel between Williams locations, sometimes requiring overnight stays.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED plus at least two years of related experience, including one year as a technician in the oil and gas industry. An associate degree or a two‑year technical program is preferred and demonstrates a stronger technical foundation.
Work conditions involve extreme temperatures, loud noises, and confined spaces. You must be able to lift up to 50 lb (team lift heavier loads), stand, walk, climb, bend, and work at elevated locations using man lifts, ladders, or scaffolding while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
A valid state driver’s license with a clean record is required. Candidates should demonstrate aptitude for technology, proficiency with Microsoft Office, process control systems, and programmable logic controllers, as well as strong organizational and interpersonal skills with safety as the top priority.
The hourly wage ranges from $28 to $50, with a midpoint of $37, and includes an annual incentive program. Compensation is designed to be competitive and reflective of experience and performance.
