Senior Engineer, Rotating Equipment (Eng Serv TM - Rota Equip TM - P&T)

Description

• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control
• Provide guidance and advice on actions to be taken on chronic problems, and review requirement for
• Prepare new plant change requests (PCR), study the proposed PCR for implementation and work out
• Provide technical support for development, implementation and commissioning of new projects in the
• Supervise the installation, maintenance, repair, trouble shooting and modification activities of rotating
• Participate in HAZOP review and SIL validation meetings.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with other departments and sections to optimize the
• Ensure availability of spares, coordinate and follow-up new material orders. Create new proposal for
• Provide input for preparation of the functional budgets and assist in the implementation of the approved
• Participate in RCA for incidents related to rotating equipment and provide findings and
• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
• Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.
• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the function in line with the
• Carry out study for major rotating equipment frequent failures and provide recommendations.
• Participate in Risk Assessment exercises and prepare recommendations and guidelines to address the
• Implement approved Section / Team / Department policies, processes, systems, standards and
• Prepare new maintenance procedures, method statement for new activities and schedule long term
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line
• Review preventive maintenance plans / schedules and prepare task list / maintenance programmes for
• Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job
• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability
• Planning and Organising, Scheduling and Coordinating, Checking, Examining and Recording

Requirements

• Knowledge of HSE procedures & practices
• 8 years of experience in engineering and maintenance of Rotating equipment within a large industrial
• Familiarity of international design codes and standards, you will have the ability to prepare design,
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Professional Qualification.
• Extensive experience in rotating equipment design, engineering, construction and maintenance and
• Familiarity of the capabilities and shortcomings of major rotating equipment manufacturers, and a
