Applying industry codes and standards to create designs for poles, wires and equipment for overhead electric distribution and transmission systems. Includes NESC , GO95, CSA codes
Discuss utility electric systems with utility engineers, consultants and salespeople and instruct them on the use of Hendrix products.
Work with sales and marketing to assist with catalog updates and product data sheets.
Occasionally, person may need to work in factory environment for testing and evaluation of products.

Limited travel domestically to customer sites for complaint resolution, sales presentations or product training.
Two years of experience with utility distribution and transmission systems including overhead distribution line design.
Requires extended hours working on the computer.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. This includes writing reports, as well as presentations for training customers.
Skill in using CAD drafting software is preferred.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or Civil Engineering or a related field.
Able to assist with product design and development by assembling parts and performing mechanical and electrical tests.
Knowledge of standards including the National Electric Safety Code, General Order 96, Canadian Standards for overhead systems.
