Network and Technology Engineer

Description

Responsible for developing and managing Critical Technologies (CT) internal and client information technology systems, services and equipment. This position does not interfere with the duties of the Hoffman & Hoffman IT Department but acts as a liaison to the department for the Critical Technologies team concerning the services corporate IT provides. The role involves handling Critical Technologies‑specific equipment, services, and project support related to technology and networking activities for Critical Technologies staff and client project work.

• Lead customer meetings and discovery to design networking solutions for facilities.
• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure in customer sites.
• Manage network performance, monitor outages, and resolve bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot network issues for Critical Technologies projects.
• Deploy and manage security controls such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Document network configurations and changes thoroughly.
• Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to develop integrated network solutions.
• Provide technical support and training on OT networks and best practices.
• Maintain Critical Technologies hardware and resources.
• Stay current with emerging networking technologies and trends.

Requirements

The Network and Technologies Engineer reports to the Enterprise Operations Manager within the Enterprise Operations – Critical Technologies department. The role is based in Greenville, SC, with a standard work schedule of Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm and requires travel to job sites; a company vehicle is provided. The position is non‑remote unless otherwise determined by the manager and requires site safety training and enrollment in safety skills.
