Credit & Collections Representative

Description

We are seeking a motivated Credit & Collections Representative to take ownership of past‑due accounts, maintain strong customer relationships, and safeguard the financial health of the business. This role involves reducing delinquency, handling payment inquiries, and resolving disputed invoices while providing professional and urgent support to customers.

• Build a long‑term career track
• Reduce delinquency across assigned accounts
• Contact customers regarding payment status and outstanding balances
• Answer inbound customer calls with professionalism and urgency
• Partner with customers and profit centers to resolve disputed invoices
• Coordinate joint check arrangements with general contractors
• Route certificates of insurance and tax certificates to the correct departments
• Update, maintain, and correct customer account information

Requirements

• Knowledge of construction lien laws
• Understanding of fair debt and collection management practices
• Familiarity with state commercial laws and legal lending methods
• Professional phone etiquette and commitment to excellent customer service
• High attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with computerized accounting systems (preferred)

The position offers a base pay range of $25.68 to $35.31 per hour, with compensation varying based on location, education, training, and experience.
