The Labor Superintendent manages all field labor operations for Hohl, overseeing foremen, journeymen, and trades personnel. This role ensures the preparation, scheduling, and performance of labor to achieve safe, accurate, and on‑time project completion while coordinating closely with Dispatch for seamless manpower assignments.
Key duties include allocating union labor, coordinating specialized crews with the Equipment Manager and Transportation Dispatcher, and assigning trades in compliance with jurisdictional and union rules. The superintendent also resolves labor issues with Union Business Agents, handles hiring and layoffs, maintains labor schedules, and ensures vehicle operators are enrolled in the LENS program.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED (an associate degree is preferred) and 7–10 years of progressive construction or industrial experience, including 3–5 years supervising union labor. Strong knowledge of labor coordination, collective bargaining agreements, OSHA safety standards, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (such as Viewpoint) are essential.

Compensation ranges from $80,000 to $105,000 depending on experience, plus a $1,000 monthly car allowance and a gas card. The role requires 24/7 on‑call availability and occasional travel to out‑of‑town job sites.
