The role is responsible for managing small to large customer project orders, encompassing initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure. It involves confirming customer requirements such as drawings, specifications, site needs, and aligning the bill of material with those specifications while addressing any exceptions.
The incumbent partners with Field Sales or senior project management to review and validate the project’s purchase order and bill of material, covering both technical and commercial elements, and serves as the primary customer contact for the remainder of the order.
Project schedules are validated and communicated to customers to ensure expectations are met, with direct engagement of internal manufacturing facilities and third‑party vendors.
Execution of the project is monitored through kickoff meetings, ongoing communication with all parties, and the exchange of technical requirements and project plan information.
Throughout the project lifecycle, the manager verifies task completion, monitors the project team, reports schedule status, and resolves issues as they arise.
Closeout activities include financial reconciliation, verification of equipment arrival at the job site, installation, start‑up, and completion of training support, coordinated with field services and after‑shipment support functions.
The role also compares and proposes alternative Schneider Electric products that add customer value, solves problems through customer interaction, and demonstrates solid knowledge of Schneider Electric products and fundamental project‑management terminology.
Successful candidates will hold a four‑year engineering degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering, or possess equivalent experience. They should exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment, and strong time‑management abilities.
A good working knowledge of Windows operating systems and standard business applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Access is required; a CAPM certification is considered a plus.
The position is based in the United States with an annual compensation range of $81,600 to $122,400, which includes base pay and a short‑term incentive. Salary within this range is set according to performance, knowledge, skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
