Insulation Apprentice

Description

• Assist with measuring, cutting, fitting, and installing insulation on piping, ductwork, tanks, and other exposed mechanical surfaces.
• Remove, repair, or replace damaged insulation as required.
• Immediately report hazards, near-misses, or incidents to the supervisor or safety representative.
• Follow instructions from the Insulation Supervisor and learn trade methods, techniques, and safety practices.
• Maintain a clean and organized jobsite; properly handle tools and materials at the end of each shift.
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and basic installation equipment.
• Help interpret job information such as basic drawings, work orders, or measurements as directed.
• Support experienced installers in preparing materials, tools, and work areas.
• Use assigned personal protective equipment and follow all company and jobsite safety protocols.
• Work collaboratively with the crew to meet project goals, timelines, and quality expectations.

Requirements

• Basic mechanical aptitude or experience using hand/power tools is helpful, but not required.
• Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.
• Willingness to learn new skills and follow directions from experienced team members.
• Ability to work on active construction sites and perform physical tasks safely.
