Leasing Consultant

Description

The Leasing Consultant role involves managing all aspects of leasing, marketing, and resident relations, including showing units, processing applications, handling administrative tasks, and contributing to resident retention and community image.

• Show, lease, and move in prospective residents; greet, qualify, tour, and sign leases.
• Generate leads, schedule appointments, conduct tours, maintain model units, and follow up to close sales.
• Complete leasing paperwork, assist with lease audits, unit walkthroughs, and turnover processes.
• Maintain accurate prospect traffic data and respond to leads within 24 hours.
• Use sales and marketing strategies to increase traffic, improve closing ratios, and meet leasing goals.
• Perform administrative tasks and address resident complaints, concerns, and requests.
• Help develop and implement resident retention programs such as events, promotions, and newsletters.
• Contribute to office, common area, and model upkeep and cleaning.
• Assist with annual marketing plan outreach and continuous market surveys/analysis.
• Keep thorough product knowledge of property, competition, and market conditions; submit weekly market reports.
• Deliver excellent customer service; monitor service request turnaround and responsiveness.
• Project a favorable community image and enforce community policies as delegated.

Requirements

• Minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use on‑site software; knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA.
• Physical ability to move, lift up to 25 lb, climb ladders, stand/sit for long periods, work in various environments and temperatures, and operate equipment or vehicles.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, nights, and in inclement weather.

Benefits

Compensation includes an hourly rate of $16‑$17, a comprehensive benefits package with medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) matching, commissions, performance bonuses, paid sick days, and holidays, with potential for overtime and weekend work.
