The Product Lifecycle Engineer will focus on material data and Bill of Materials (BoM) management within the SAP ERP system. They will serve as the interface between engineering outputs and the sourcing, procurement, quality, and commercial functions, ensuring accurate conversion of information. The role requires effective management of SAP Material Masters and BoM configurations to enable material release that meets project procurement deadlines.
Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining standard and contract‑specific material master data, inputting project plan information, and generating purchase requisitions for valve structures using Project Builder. Ongoing maintenance of material masters, project modules, and project‑specific SAP BOMs is required, along with the identification and implementation of process improvements. The engineer will also prepare training material, train key users, develop new methods to automate the engineering‑to‑procurement flow, and provide daily troubleshooting support.
The candidate must have proven experience with SAP Master Data or Procurement functions and significant exposure to valve products in high‑voltage direct current (HVDC) applications. They should be able to work quickly and efficiently within an engineering team, possess an enquiring mind, and demonstrate a strong drive for continuous improvement and standards implementation.
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a reputable institute and solid knowledge of SAP software are required. Additional qualifications include competence in Microsoft Office, fluency in English, and compliance with EHS standards.
The role demands strong communication skills, the ability to coordinate and lead a small group of engineers, and a focus on continuous improvement. Candidates should be independent yet collaborative, produce precise documentation, pay attention to detail, and be capable of meeting high‑quality deadlines.
