Electrical Estimator

Description

• Carry out take-offs from electrical drawings and prepare material, labour, and subcontractor costs.
• Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to assess project requirements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, value engineering options, and risk factors.
• Keep up to date with industry standards, regulations, and market prices.
• Work closely with the pre-construction and project delivery teams to hand over successful tenders.
• Prepare accurate and detailed electrical estimates, quotations, and cost plans for a range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
• Estimating projects ranging from £15k -2m.
• Manage multiple tenders simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.

Requirements

Due to the development and growth of the business, we are actively looking to add an Electrical Estimator to our office team staff to support with our growing workload and client needs

• Minimum of 2 years estimating experience in the M&E sector.
• Proficiency with estimating software and cost databases.
• Good understanding of pre construction and procurement processes
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Good organisational, negotiation and communication skills
• Strong understanding of electrical systems
• HNC/HND (desirable)
