The position focuses on nuclear power plant systems design, where the engineer prepares and reviews modification packages, creates functional mechanical and system drawings, performs engineering analyses, and develops technical specifications and procurement documents. The role also involves evaluating vendor bids, conducting studies for plant modifications, estimating engineering costs, and presenting findings to clients on-site. Work is performed on a hybrid schedule, requiring three days per week in the office.
Candidates must hold a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program and have at least five years of relevant experience. A solid understanding of the codes, standards, and regulations governing mechanical design for nuclear facilities is required, and a Professional Engineer license is considered an asset.
